The year 2015 was a great year for CMS VATAVARAN. We successfully organized the 8th editionfrom October 9-13, 2015 at NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi. More than 4000 people from all walks of life were part of the film festival and forum. Preceding the festival in October was a two-month long (August and September) campaign called “Water Festival’ which saw participation of 24 schools and 3 educational institutions in Delhi NCR.

We thank everyone for supporting us and making the 8th edition a successful event.

Join us now in our travelling edition, as we travel to seven river front cities- Allahabad, Guwahati, Trichy, Nasik,Gandhinagar, Mangalore and Mahbubnagar from mid- 2016 onwards. The festival will be held in multiple venues to facilitate the participation of diverse audience in each city. The festival will include film screenings, open forums, panel discussions on local water issues, filmmaking workshops, etc.CMS VATAVARAN will also engage with its audiences through fun filled and interactive programmes by organizing cleaning drives, tree plantations,competitions for students, engaging workshops, etc.

The tentative schedule of the travelling film festival across the cities is as given below:

July 13 - 17 Mahbubnagar Mahabubnagar town is located at a distance of 96 km from Hyderabad city.Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers flow through this city. DindiRiver, is an important tributary of the river Krishna in this district.
August 03 - 07 Mangalore Mangalore lies on the backwaters of the Netravati and Gurupura rivers in Karnataka.
September 07 - 11 Guwahati Guwahati lies between the banks of the Brahmaputra River and the foothills of the Shillong plateau.
September 21 - 25 Nasik The city is situated at the foothills of the Western Ghats mountains on the banks of the river Godavari.
October 19 - 23 Gandhinagar Gandhinagar is the capital of Gujarat. It lies on the west bank of the river Sabarmati.
November 09 -13 Allahabad Allahabad is in south-eastern part of Uttar Pradesh, at the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna.
November 30 - December 04 Trichy Tiruchirappalli is located 322kilometres, south of Chennai. The two major rivers running throughTiruchirappalli are the Kaveri and its tributary, Kollidam.
